Pose positions in room help.

Recommended Posts

When editing poses, how do you change the location of a pose individually for each individual location in a room such as Sofa, floor, bed, etc?

Also, how do you recenter a pose's center position? Its hard to explain what I asking. You know when you can click the custom location button in the upper right corner and it gives you the abilitity to click a location in a room to put the actors in their current pose? When I do this for some poses there are a few that aren't placed directly where I click. For example, I click the ground and the actors show up 20 feet away, halfway submerged in the floor.

You can use the key board to fine tune the position

to recenter a pose, you need to use TkX_Utilities - Local poses - Pose Tools - select your pose - Change Rot $ Pos.

In Pose Edit, press Ctrl+A, select a value - Ctrl+A - Copy

Example:

Hip 2.34344, 0.83434, -1.23245

Go to TKX_Utils - select your pose - Change Rot $ Pos Select model number

Copy 2.34344, paste in TKX_Utils X: -2.34344 - Enter to apply

Copy -1.23245, Paste in TKX_Utils Z: 1.23245 - Enter to apply

New Hip 0, 00000, 0.83434, 00000  -  Centered/Default position or close to it.

If the values are not 0, repeat the copy-paste process.

None of this helped. The issue was I was placing models in the wrong places. For example, I was putting models on sofas that were labeled for the bed.

I’m not an expert with poses, but I think that pose locations only work correctly when used in the room that they were created for. Using them in other rooms will always require adjustments.

what room are you using and what poses? Do they mention anything that indicates the room?

another way, what I do: is to open the poses in pose editor in that room and adjust them there. Save the poses for that room.

I'm still kind of confused on what you are trying to do.

...or the one who make the pose choose the floor for making the pose and then drag the model to the bed about

20 feet away from the floor and then save this pose. So every time YOU use the arrows to navigate the pose, the

model will be 20 feet away from the center of the floor.

This. I made the mistake of thinking the center point of a pose in Free Mode was based on the models. The center point of a pose is actually the space where the pose is assigned to in Pose Edit and has nothing to do with the model's orientation.
