    Ahh yes. And to be fair, I do like that modern MK games pay tribute to that movie. That's one of the very few things I can commend NetherRealm Studios for these days.

    Funny thing about the MK2 stills in this comic. Those are not gameplay screenshots, obviously. There's this website that has archived the sprites for all Arcade era games and I just put them together on Photoshop. Curiously enough, the Toasty in this image is from MK3, NOT MK2. I couldn't find it for the life of me, so I had to go with that one. Dan Forden was a gem for the team back then.
