What if Python could

• transfer weights from the body mesh to the clothing mesh,
• clear weights from certain vertex groups
• sort vertex groups
• smooth filtered lists of vertex groups with each their own settings
• auto-normalize weights
• delete empty vertex groups and finally
• delete bones from the armature that don't have a matching vertex group...

that would be a MAJOR productivity boost.
