Purchasing power in Texas is influencing what's printed
in textbooks across the whole country.

That's right.
Why in fifty years, kids won't know who Rosa Parks was
or how slavery started the Civil War or...

Look, we can't let our author go on about the rebirth of Fascism.
We're confusing the readers.  Let's take an intermission and tell a dirty joke.

How about this;
Imagine a scene with Trump, pimping out both Ivanka and Melania
to Joel Osteen, for a cheeseburger.
