Yet another stellar entry into the Ozverse. I recall you saying in a past blog that this story is going to more condensed than your others, and yet it still has so many moving parts within this 1st entry. How it subtly ties into everything else you have going is yet another testament to how you seamlessly craft such wonderful stories. Yaz is a well fleshed out hero who kinda gives me the impression that there's deeper motivations as to why he is the way he is. Goldson on the other hand is clearly the caution to the wind type, and I'm super excited to see how they both mesh with each other. Sho doesn't get a lot of airtime, but it's crystal clear you're setting him up to be an absolute monster. All and all, if your other stories are any indication this one is going to be a rocket ship ride from start to end.

Response from the author:

The story will eventually divert into 3 paths as I introduce a couple more characters. Like I said, the cast for MO will be significantly smaller than my other stories, but it'll be no less impactful. Once all of the players are introduced on the board, the story will pick up in pace and won't let up until it's climax. And what a climax it'll be. As I've said in the past, unlike my other comics, MO isn't planned to be an "ongoing" series. It will have a definitive end...of sorts. Getting ahead of myself a bit, but the majority of the actual plot & story I've already fleshed out. If you thought Ep. 1 was good, you ain't seen nothing yet.

A five-star is already a given when reading an Oz Comic. What did you expect?

Diving into the story, I am super hyped to see more of this Yakuza conflict take shape. Since the first time I saw Sho, he reminded me of something I worked on with a friend years and years ago, and the setting is PERFECT. Golden Boy seems to me like a tragic hero of sorts, not sure if I'll be right about that in the end, but his arc is interesting, and Nikki is HOT AF. Same with Mari, who looks fantastic!

All I can say is, I'm SO FREAKING READY for what's to come. Good to have you back, Oz!

Response from the author:

Casper's definitely got some demons in the closet, which is why he finds himself on the east coast. What he explained to Nikki was just the short version...the whole story is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more devious. As far as Sho, I wish I could go in depth as to what his story arch will be, but I can't because it's actually going to be mind-blowing. The most I will say is it will involve a character from one of my other stories you will NOT expect. You'll see hints in episode 2...but there's WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY morre to show than meets the eye.
